Introducing an exclusive coin dedicated to the esteemed members of the 82nd Airborne Division Historical Society, Inc. This standard round coin, measuring 2 inches in diameter, is crafted with a solid metal zinc core and weighs approximately 3.5 ounces. It features a brushed aluminum finish, giving it an antique silver appearance.
On the front, the coin proudly displays the logo of the Historical Society, which includes the iconic 82nd Airborne Division unit patch, adorned with wings from the classic Airborne Wings military award badge, and the Jumpmaster star and wreath from the master level of the same badge. Surrounding the logo are eight parachute symbols and the organization's name on a blue scroll decoration. Encircling the perimeter, in standard typeset, is the organization's motto: "Honoring the Past, Preserving the Future."
The reverse side showcases relief images of the first Airborne Troopers, taken from historical archives, alongside their modern-day successors from the division. Above them, the historically significant C-47 Skytrain and the modern C-130 Hercules aircraft are depicted in flight.
